Where does your FinOps actually stand?

At Drop in FinOps, your privacy is not an afterthought. This notice explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have — in plain language.

1. What We Collect

When you use this landing page, we may collect:

• Email address — when you enter it to start the assessment or request a demo.
• Quiz responses — your answers to the 5-question fit assessment.

We collect only what we need to understand whether Drop in FinOps is the right fit for your team.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To understand what cloud teams need from a FinOps platform.
• To reach out to teams who expressed interest — only if you submitted your email.
• To improve the content and user experience of this site.

We never sell or rent your data, and we never share it with third parties for their own marketing. We use a small number of vetted processors — such as our email provider — only to deliver what you asked for.

3. Where Your Data Lives

Your data is stored in AWS DynamoDB, inside our own AWS account (us-east-1). The only time it leaves is when our email provider sends a message you opted into — we never move it anywhere else.

• Encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+).
• Access restricted to authorized personnel only.
• No third-party analytics platforms (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel).

4. Legal Basis for Processing

• Consent — by submitting your email or completing the quiz, you consent to us storing and using that data as described here.

You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.

5. Data Retention

Personal data is automatically deleted or anonymized after 90 days. You can request immediate deletion at any time.

6. Cookies & Tracking

We do not use cookies or external analytics scripts. No data is written to your browser's cookie store. The only data transmitted to our servers is what you explicitly submit via the assessment form or demo request.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

• Access a copy of any data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Object to processing
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

8. Security

Drop in FinOps is built on AWS with security-first defaults: KMS encryption, CloudTrail audit logging, and least-privilege IAM. The same infrastructure principles that protect customer billing data protect your contact information here.

9. Updates

If this notice changes materially, we'll update the effective date at the top. The latest version is always at dropinfinops.com.
